Late arrival
In case you make a reservation and you cannot show up at the agreed time, we have a tolerance period of 60 minutes of waiting. After this period, it is considered that the client has not shown up and their reservation is canceled.
Flight connection: If your flight is delayed or rescheduled, you must notify us of this change as soon as possible.
Nighttime wait: In case you arrive to pick up the vehicle outside our business hours, you must notify the Reservations Center (or the pick-up office), indicating the new arrival time and credit card details to confirm the wait outside of business hours. Additional charge applies
We inform you that if you know in advance that you are going to pick up the vehicle outside our business hours, you will have to make a prepayment of the waiting charge through your credit card. To make the confirmation, your mobile phone number, credit card details and flight number will be requested, this surcharge being non-refundable
Border crossing permit
If you know that you are going to cross to bordering countries, we inform you that mechanical assistance services and towing abroad will always be the responsibility of the client. Hertz is not responsible for: accommodation, taxis or transfers, refreshments, air or land tickets, communications, mechanical repairs (without prior authorization from a Hertz Argentina manager), towing, toll expenses. This permit must be paid in advance, and in those cases where you want to cancel there will be no refund
If, in the event of returning to the country, the border is closed for any reason, the client will be responsible for repatriating the vehicle. If the vehicle is stranded outside of Argentina, the client must pay US$ 3,000 (three thousand dollars) if the unit is no more than 200 kilometers from the border, and US$ 5,000 (five thousand dollars) if it is more than 200 kilometers away. In those cases where the vehicle is not returned to the indicated branch, extra charges apply in the rental request.
It is subject to availability and has an additional charge (see additional rental charges). Our vehicles can only cross to Brazil, Uruguay and Chile. (Take into account that for crossings to Brazil and Uruguay the client must sign the request in original 72 business hours before so that the permit can be processed.)

Documentation required when picking up the unit

When picking up the reserved vehicle, the client must show up carrying their D.N.I. credit issued by a physical bank to guarantee the franchise. A pre-authorization will be requested on the client's credit card as the rental guarantee. We ask that you please check the amount that you must have available by calling 11 7090-4000 or 0810 222 4378, or at. branch where you are going to pick up the vehicle. According to Resolution 39/2019 of the National Road Safety Agency, the digital National Driver's License is complementary to the Driver's License in physical format.
In this way, in case the authorities request it, the physical presentation of the license is mandatory.
As a requirement for the rental, you must be over 21 years old (you can rent between 18 and 20 years old, paying the charge for young drivers). The rental is paid when picking up the vehicle.
It is important to note that the reservation confirmation stipulates a class of vehicle or similar, rate and start and end time of the rental. The postponement, delay in picking up the vehicle on a confirmation and stipulated time does not guarantee the availability of the category, the initial rate, unit and/or selected vehicle; it only becomes valid within the times in which it was originally requested.

The best option to guarantee the informed rate is 'Reserve and pay now' since you have a 20% discount (not cumulative with other promotions). If you select 'Reserve and pay on arrival' the rate could be subject to changes.
Reservation tolerance
The reservation tolerance is 45 minutes. In case of modifications, we ask you to please contact our reservations center at 11 7090-4000 or at 0810-222-3789.
In case you do not show up at the stipulated time, we may decide to cancel your reservation.”
Flight schedules
Please remember to check the arrival time of your flight; if it is delayed or rescheduled and the new time is close to the closing time of our offices at the airport, you will have to notify us of this change.
The holder of the reservation or requesting agency is responsible for notifying the Reservations Center or the pick-up office about flight changes, and providing the required credit card details to confirm the wait outside of business hours (if applicable). This service has an additional charge (see additional rental charges).
Conditions for deliveries
The services of delivery, transfer and collection of vehicles entail an additional charge to the cost of the rental. These services are scheduled within specific dates and times according to the office/s and are subject to availability at the time of confirming the reservation. It is important to note that the quote for this service does not guarantee its availability. The service confirmation is made at the time of confirming the reservation, with prior consultation.
To manage this special service, it is essential to have the complete credit card details (number, expiration date, security code, color, bank and issuing country, ICA number if it is Mastercard, etc.). In addition, it is necessary to send the following documentation by email:
Driver’s license and identity document (DNI) or passport (these documents will be requested by the operator at the time of delivery of the vehicle and the passenger must present them).
Corresponding billing information.
It is important to note that the person holding the contract must be present to sign it at the time of delivery of the vehicle.
Reservation cancellation
The confirmation of the prepaid reservation implies that a cancellation charge is accepted from the moment the reservation is made until 24 hours before the scheduled date and time to pick up the vehicle. This charge is equivalent to a predetermined amount, which varies according to the vehicle pick-up date, plus 4% for administrative charges.
If the cancellation is made within the 24 hours prior to the date and time of vehicle pick-up, a cancellation charge equivalent to the daily rate of the reserved car must be paid, plus 4% for administrative charges.
In the case of vehicle delivery services, any modification or cancellation of the service must be communicated with at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, the cost of transfers and one day of rental is billed, plus 4% for administrative charges.
In the case of reservations that include permits to cross borders, the cost of the permit is not refunded, including the charges mentioned above.
Out-of-hours charges
Rentals scheduled to be made outside of the office hours at the airports have an additional charge known as a night charge (after hour)
It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide all the necessary data to confirm this wait, including the passenger’s mobile phone number, credit card details and flight number. If this data is not provided, the wait will not be guaranteed.
In case the night charge is requested and confirmed, it must be prepaid (by the agency requesting the reservation and/or through the passenger’s credit card).
This charge will be debited together with the cost of one day of rental from the credit card with which the reservation was made and will not be refunded if the client does not show up on the originally agreed date and time, or if the cancellation occurs within the 24 hours prior to the delivery of the vehicle.”
Provincial stamping
Depending on the province in which the rental is started, rental requests are subject to the application of a provincial stamp tax that varies between 0.6% and 2% of the total rental contract, which must be paid on arrival at the time of returning the vehicle.
Coverages and guarantees
The rate includes coverage with a franchise or deductible, the amount of which varies depending on the type of vehicle. This amount must be paid in the event of a claim, unless the user acquires any of the additional coverages available. We recommend consulting the additional coverages and guarantees available.
Circulation restrictions
Access to the Esteros del Iberá National Park (Route 40/41) and access to the “Carlos Pellegrini” colony with standard vehicles (cars in general) is absolutely prohibited. To circulate in this area, access is only allowed with 4x4 trucks.
The use of gravel or dirt roads with passenger vehicles is prohibited, and only circulation on paved roads with these vehicles is allowed. In case of verifying the circulation with vehicles not allowed, the corresponding fine will be applied.
Guaranteed rate
The rate value published on our website is guaranteed only if the reservation is prepaid. If the customer decides to pay at the time of taking the vehicle, the rate could be subject to changes.

General conditions
Parts of the request:
The company that operates under the Hertz brand, duly identified the car rental request hereinafter referred to as HERTZ IN ARGENTINA.
Natural or legal person signing and correctly identified in the car rental request hereinafter referred to as “client”.
Rented motor vehicle:
The car duly characterized and identified in the rental request and that is in perfect conditions of use, conservation and operation.
The client is fully responsible for the custody of both the motor vehicle and its accessories and documents, until it is effectively returned to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA, which will be carried out under the same conditions in which it was delivered. In the event of missing items, the client must take responsibility for them.
HERTZ IN ARGENTINA with the delivery of the car transfers the custody of the vehicle given in lease, being exempt from any type of responsibility arising from the use of the vehicle during the validity of this
Parts of the request:
The company that operates under the Hertz brand, duly identified the car rental request hereinafter referred to as HERTZ IN ARGENTINA.
Natural or legal person signing and correctly identified in the car rental request hereinafter referred to as “client”.
Advantages granted by HERTZ IN ARGENTINA:
Except for fraud or gross negligence, contractual coverage is granted for damage to third parties (civil liability) up to $160,000,000 and any value higher than the covered amount will be the exclusive responsibility of the client. Likewise, the client-lessee hereby expresses their agreement with the scope of the insurance policy contracted by HERTZ IN ARGENTINA for damage to third parties.
Exemption from the collection of lost profits regarding the leased vehicle as long as the claim was not attributable to the lessee
Obligations of the parties to this request:
HERTZ IN ARGENTINA once this request is accepted, undertakes to:
1. Provide technical mechanical assistance through its maintenance centers, and during business hours.
The client undertakes to:
1. Not to infringe, by themselves or by an authorized driver, voluntarily or involuntarily any of the clauses and conditions of this
2. Not to allow the use of the vehicle by another driver who is not duly and expressly identified as authorized in this request.
3. In case of an accident, theft, robbery or fire of the leased motor vehicle, notify what happened to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA All this within twenty-four (24) hours of the event.
4. In the cases referred to in the previous point, and within a maximum period of twenty-four (24) hours from the event or from the moment the fact is known, file a complaint with the competent police station, requesting the respective certified record, which must be delivered to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA, at the time of making the administrative complaint of the claim before HERTZ IN ARGENTINA, this instrument must be signed, reserving HERTZ IN ARGENTINA The right to require a new complaint or description by the applicant or driver of the claim, for which the client-lessee will be duly summoned.
5. Request, in case of a traffic accident, the performance of the corresponding expert reports to the competent authority and take the data of the witnesses who witnessed the event.
In case of breach of any of the obligations set forth in point 4.2 and/or of any of the conditions of this request, and/or if the client proceeded with manifest negligence in the custody and/or use of the unit, especially if it is abandoned or parked with the doors unlocked or with the windows down, keys in the ignition, garage door open, etc. and/or proceeded with gross negligence or fraud in case of a traffic accident or any other event that may involve it, will be responsible for the damages and losses caused by its actions, also authorizing HERTZ IN ARGENTINA to proceed with the rescission of this request automatically losing the benefits granted in points 3.1 to 3.2.
The contravention of any municipal, provincial or national traffic regulation that causes damage to third parties or to the rented vehicle, will make the client lose the advantage granted, making the client civilly and criminally responsible for what their unlawful conduct causes.
Other rental conditions:
This request is personal and non-transferable, with the client as the legal guardian of the leased car, which may not be driven by other persons other than those authorized in this request, under penalty of losing the advantage granted and being responsible for the damages and losses in their entirety. In case the client is a legal person, it undertakes through this to provide HERTZ IN ARGENTINA with a list with the names of the authorized employees to drive, who must be covered by a work accident policy contracted by the client.
The leased car may not, under any circumstances, be used for a purpose other than the specific destination stated in the registration certificate and/or manufacturer specifications, and may only circulate in national territory (except for special powers), and routes enabled for this purpose. Failure to comply with what is provided here will result in early termination and the consequences listed in point 4.3.
Return of the car, deadlines, misappropriation and compulsory return due to early termination:
The leased car must be returned to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA on the date recorded in the box located on the front of this request and identified as “expected return”. Any request for an extension must be requested by the applicant personally signing the request which must also be accepted in writing, any telephone communication in this regard being invalid. Failure to comply with what is established here will give the lessor HERTZ IN ARGENTINA the right to promote the relevant criminal actions for misappropriation of the vehicle, without the need for prior notification. In case of leaving the vehicle in another country, an extra charge will be charged (see Charges for returns in another country)
Once misappropriation is established, the client will also be subject to the criminal and judicial sanctions that derive from it, bearing all the judicial or extrajudicial expenses that HERTZ IN ARGENTINA makes for the search, apprehension and effective return of the rented car and other damages and losses caused. All with the loss of any advantage granted.
In cases of emergencies for just reasons that cause an early termination of the request referred to in clause 8, the car must be returned to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA within the period set by the relevant notification, under penalty of constituting the crime of misappropriation.
The rented car must be returned to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA at the place of rental. However, in any of the cases provided for in this clause, the return of the car may be made to any other legal entity that operates under the Hertz brand, the return costs of the unit to the origin being the responsibility of the client.
Rental expenses and collection methods:
At the time of returning the vehicle, the expenses and items of the rental period will be calculated, in the terms and conditions of this request. However, there may be debits to the client’s account not claimed by HERTZ IN ARGENTINA immediately. Through this, the client undertakes to pay promptly the traffic fines committed, the calculation differences of the rental that may have occurred, the compensations for damages, breakages or missing items suffered in the leased car and damages to third parties. Likewise, the client will pay the traffic fines received later and originated during the rental period.
The client will always be directly responsible for the compensations due to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA without prejudice to the exercise of their possible rights of recourse against the third parties causing the damages, as well as for the expenses and payments that HERTZ IN ARGENTINA is obliged to make on its own, by force of passive solidarity that may link it.
Any payment due to HERTZ IN ARGENTINA and made late will be charged with interest for late payment according to twice the active rate of Banco Nación in its discount operations.
THE CLIENT AUTHORIZES TO DEBIT ALL THE ITEMS ARISING FROM THIS REQUEST FROM THEIR CREDIT CARD WITHOUT NEEDING THEIR PRIOR APPROVAL.
Early termination:
The confirmation of the prepaid reservation implies the acceptance of a cancellation charge from the realization of said reservation until 24 hours prior to the date and time to pick up the unit equivalent to a predetermined amount depending on the date of pick up of the vehicle plus 4% of administrative charges.
In case the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the date and time to pick up the unit, a cancellation charge equivalent to the rate of one day of the reserved car plus 4% of administrative charges must be paid.
In cases that request vehicle deliveries, any modification or cancellation of the service must be communicated with at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, the cost for transfers, one day of rental, plus 4% of administrative charges will be billed.
In cases where the border crossing permit is requested and the reservation is canceled within 24 hours of the date and time of taking the vehicle, the cost for the border crossing permit will not be refunded.
Final provisions:
The indemnity exemptions mentioned in this request do not imply the hiring of insurance by the lessor. They only mean that HERTZ IN ARGENTINA may choose to contractually assume the costs, damages, or indemnity liabilities that may eventually arise from the use and circulation of the rented car.
HERTZ IN ARGENTINA may, at its sole discretion, choose to contract optional liability insurance that covers the values and amounts of the indemnity exemptions that are contractually agreed upon.
The client becomes responsible, civilly and criminally, for the statements made at the time of signing the rental request
HERTZ IN ARGENTINA will not be responsible for the objects and valuables forgotten in the rented car.
HERTZ IN ARGENTINA will always be authorized to obtain personal information from the client with financial institutions and credit card issuers
The client’s failure to pay the rental value and/or any item agreed here will automatically put them in default, causing them to lose all the advantages agreed upon herein.
Jurisdiction:
For all purposes of this, the parties establish domiciles at those indicated on the front of this, and submit to the jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction.
By means of this, the client expressly acknowledges that in the event of: 1. Theft of the rented vehicle. 2. Fire. 3. Missing. 4. Tire and/or wheel breakage. 5. Accident or collision that damages the rented vehicle. 6. Damage due to weather conditions (e.g. hail, etc…). 7. Any type of damage caused to the rented vehicle, the client must take responsibility with their assets up to the amount of the deductible equivalent to the type of rate and vehicle category and the company that operates the Hertz brand will cover any amount above
Likewise, by means of this, the client also expressly acknowledges that in the event of a rollover, the client must take responsibility with their own assets up to the established deductible amount for that concept, the company that operates the Hertz brand will cover any amount that exceeds that amount.
In the event that the rented vehicle is seized due to speeding or for any other reason, HERTZ IN ARGENTINA will also directly receive from the lessee, as lost profits, the value of the rental day of the rented unit for each day that this situation lasts, until it is returned. This without prejudice to the other obligations and clauses provided for in this request.
Exclusions
Engine breakage, in which case the client must pay the total amount budgeted by an official dealership. 2- Airbag: In the event of any eventuality, if the airbags are activated, they must be paid in full by THE CLIENT WILL PAY THE TOTALITY OF THESE ITEMS AND DAMAGES MENTIONED ABOVE IN 100%
Regarding Fines: It is the client’s responsibility to respect the current traffic regulations and is obliged to comply with all traffic laws set by the national, provincial and municipal authorities, as well as their controls by any means, drawn up by electronic control means or by national, provincial or municipal public authorities of inspection and/or any other means of setting fines. In case of traffic fines committed by the assigned driver or another authorized driver, during the validity of the rental request, the company that operates the Hertz brand is authorized to debit the corresponding amounts from the credit card that guarantees the rental request.
The instruments used to APPLY OR NOT THE CHARGE OF THE FRANCHISE, will be the CHECKS carried out during the delivery and receipt of the vehicle. The correct, detailed and complete completion of the checks is of utmost importance, for which we request your collaboration in the work of the fleet assistant.
The client declares knowledge of all of the above, accepting the conditions above, and is informed that IN ALL CASES OF CLAIMS, it will be their responsibility to file the corresponding POLICE REPORT and complete the administrative report regarding what happened.
Requirements for traveling to Ushuaia
At the request of Ushuaia, vehicles circulating in the city must be equipped with snow tires. If the user plans to visit Ushuaia and rents a car in a city on the continent, such as El Calafate, Bariloche, Neuquén or another, it is necessary to inform us of their intention. In this way, in addition to managing the border crossing permit, we will be able to provide you with a vehicle with the required characteristics, subject to availability at the time of the request.
Tolls
VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRONIC DEVICES
At the offices in Bs As: Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, Ezeiza International Airport, Paraguay 1138 and Cerrito 1527, vehicles equipped with a Telepase electronic device will be delivered, therefore, you can use the automatic booths called Telepase and use the smart ramps (without booths), this service will be available at the tolls of the highways in the metropolitan area of Bs As
A fixed daily charge will be added to the rental -mandatory- that will allow you to pass through these tolls at no cost for the tolls you can use. This charge is mandatory.
VEHICLES NOT EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRONIC DEVICES
In the vehicles that are delivered without an electronic device, the payment of the tolls and the eventual fines that may be generated for evading said payment will be the responsibility of the client and the same treatment will be given as in the case of a traffic violation
